Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at an Olympic contest. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. At her first international contest in 1972, she took the top spot having won three golds. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She was the first woman to do a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the world of entertainment began in her teens, when she began skating figure alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a professional in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The shows were ice skating performances that were followed by musical performances.
