April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at age seven. The passion for songwriting was awakened. At the age of 12 April came up with her first original song Different. When April was 14 years old, she dedicated long hours developing song ideas and perfecting the music. In the following months, April started taking trips in NY and LA with her Dad in order for them both compose songs. April also began incorporating other relevant topics into the Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership in addition to being a specialist in lifestyle. Lockhart was born with no left hand and that is an aspect of her identity, but it's hardly her whole story. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her handicap. But it also doesn't insist on it. The point? The message is That we all carry multiple identities and are far more complicated than we believe that we're. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't wish to become a disability influencer in which I only discuss because there are other aspects to me Lockhart states in video form from her house in Nashville. The issue doesn't affect my everyday life. I carry on the same way as I always do and have come up with my own methods to adjust. This is a major aspect of my existence, and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart who is an inspiration for self-acceptance in general, is on a long road to reach the goal. She admits that she has been through times when she was uncomfortable dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social networks with a sense of pride. It's a journey is the most important thing. I'm not certain that will ever be the end of self-love. It's a long journey. I'm sure that you never get there. I believe that it's really important to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
